What things do we support?

The Rev. Ted Baines Charity has been set up to encourage generosity BY the next generation and FOR the benefit of the next generation. This means we are happy to support most charitable causes put forward by young people.

The only restrictions we have are:

  1. The giving must be to a UK Registered Charity. Doing this ensures that the charity is a legitimate charity, is regulated by the Charity Commission, and the trustees of that charity have the legal responsibility for ensuring that monies raised are correctly applied
  2. If you are applying for a matched funding grant you must be born on or after 1 Jan 1990 (click here to find out why) and you must be giving personally of your own time or money
  3. The Rev. Ted Baines Charity is not explicitly a Christian charity, but it is based on the principles of the Christian faith. Under our constitution we are unable to support charities whose objectives are in direct conflict with Christianity

Please click on any of the boxes below to read about the charities we have supported so far.
